The annual Christmas card venture began in 1986 when we were living in Dallas, TX and our oldest daughter was about 18 mos. old. From then on the “monster” of the
Chambers Family Christmas Card grew and grew!! Over the years the cards began to get more elaborate and the mailing list increased beyond comprehension! When John was diagnosed with cancer in 1996 I felt the need to include a newsletter – and so the annual newsletter fed the "monster" as well! The card came full circle after 22 years with the birth of our granddaughter, Anastasia. It was at this time that I decided if I were to ever really enjoy Christmas again, the card must come to an end. So, Ana was added to the 2007 card and I’m on “sabbatical” until who knows when!!
The originals were done in pen and ink. Most are adaptations of antique postcards.
