SOUTHERN DISCOMFORT

These paintings represent reflections of a childhood spent in the Deep South in the 50's and 60's. My work has been greatly influenced by Southern writers and regional artists.  I strive to do visually what such writers as Truman Capote and Kaye Gibbons have done with the written word. Included are short texts which may or may not accompany each painting.
